The following is a brief overview of the steps we've taken to make the PUR® Web experience accessible to all users.
Text-based navigation on every page allows users to jump directly to the most important parts of the website. This feature facilitates ease of use with screen readers or text-only browsers, or users who navigate using the keyboard.
You can change the font size of the PUR website:
- In Internet Explorer, select "View" from the top navigation; select "Text Size;" and then select your preferred size.
- In Firefox, select "View" from the top navigation; select "Text Size;" and then select either "Increase" or "Decrease." (You also can increase text size using the keyboard command Ctrl + +.)
- In Safari, select "View" from the top navigation; select "Make Text Bigger" or "Make Text Smaller." Alternatively, you can hold down the shortcut keys "Command" and "+" to make text bigger and "Command" and "–" to make text smaller.
We use ALT text on all content images. Where possible, we use HTML text instead of graphics containing text.
We test our websites in JAWS® for Windows®, AIS Web Accessibility toolbar, and aDesigner.
